三菱電機(jī)80年代推出的F系列小型PLC在90年代初被F1，系列和F2系列取代，F(xiàn)1，系列在我國曾經(jīng)有很高的市場占有率。其后的FX2系列在硬件和軟件功能上都有很大的提高，后來推出的FXo，F(xiàn)X0s，F(xiàn)X0N和FX2N等系列實(shí)現(xiàn)了微型化和多品種化，可滿足不同用戶的需要。Fl系列和FX2系列早已屬于淘汰產(chǎn)品，三菱電機(jī)現(xiàn)在的FX系列產(chǎn)品樣本中僅有FX1S,FXlN、FX2N和Fx2NC這4個(gè)子系列，與過去的產(chǎn)品相比，在性能價(jià)格比上又有明顯的提高。

FX系列的適應(yīng)面廣，如FX2N和FX2NC最多可擴(kuò)展到256個(gè)I／O點(diǎn)，并且有很強(qiáng)的網(wǎng)絡(luò)通信功能，能夠滿足大多數(shù)要求較高的系統(tǒng)的需要，F(xiàn)X系列是國內(nèi)使用得最多的PLC系列產(chǎn)品之一。
